Tina Vlassopulos
Tina trained in ceramics at Bristol Polytechnic, and is known for her distinctive hand-built burnished sculptural forms. The gravity defying spirals, twists and ‘bracelet’ rings make her work immediately recognisable. In recent years Tina has developed a line of slip cast tableware called ‘Echo’ , some with hand cut modifications which give them a humorous presence. She makes them in small batches from high-fired earthenware and a semi-matt ivory glaze. The tableware is suitable for every day use or can be enjoyed as a dramatic centrepiece.
